Kerbak´s empire Army
« on: June 01, 2010, 04:37:45 PM »
Hello fellow wargamers,,, below I have uploaded  first photos of my Emperial army,, note that many of them where painted long time ago,, and some of them are a bit scratchy...
My Emperial army has more than 10 years and my things has been repainted several times, and other will be repainted soon,, even so Im glad to said that 99,99  of my over 8.000 points of army is painted,, just must ended some new heroes and a group of halflings that will work as explorer archers,,,

Background of my army is that the city of "Valdiburg" (a version of my former city) is on the province of Nuln, which is remarked on the fact that I used many pistols and repeat pistols,, of course I have pistoliers too,, all specialized guns possible and my dear and beloved Steam Tanks.
,, Also, due that most of my enemy players played with vampires and chaos,, i must said that this type of invasion are everyday more often,, therefore Warrior priest has established a church and an order in the city, so the Templar’s Knights of the Order of the Hammer, warrior priest on horse with hammers (works as wolf knights) are in charged of protect the city..

I need to work on taking better pictures,, but even so look good.

Eilsel Kerbak,, Emperial general on griffon

On foot version with Runic fang

Mounted version

Rufus Von Hammer , Hero Knight of the wolf (soon a memner of my brothers Middenhein Army)

Kurt Helbourg

Ludwig Schrawswñklfdñheim (or wathever)

Joseph ZingerRat, Warrior priest on horse

Hey this is nice.

I was especially impressed by the Templars. They really do look like a bunch of monks. In a good way!

The swordsmen are the best work so far. You may want to go back and add some shading and highlights for the painting is certainly neat proving you have the skills to make the extra time detailing worth while.

Nice work, I especially like the stanks from paper - they look so real!... just photos are a bit too dark to really see the figs.  :::cheers:::

A wash of devlan mud or something would add a lot to the older models.

..for these many models?..to go back and repaint them?... better just throw them in the bucket then........ ( filled with devlan mud, that is)  .:)

Well.... as I said many things are really old,,, my knights for example,, or the reiskgurad on foot,, where painted at least 6 years ago 8at the time those knights appear),, so my skills where awful for that time,,, heroes and swordsmen are more recent,, and my skills have improved by then... I wish to restart all over again,, but I don’t think I could ever have the time to :closed-eyes:

I need to work on taking better pictures,, but all the lamps in my house are kind of yellow, and not white

..on the first part I can't help you..it's all up to your decision, what you want to do in your free time..

but on the second part regarding photography...have you heard of the free editing photo programs..like picasa?..if not, here's the link
http://picasa.google.com/..
I use it all the time, and it saved me a lot of headaches..just my 5cents in here...cheers mate.

Your kitbashed foot reiksguard look great...almost like the real thing. Also, I like the use of the catachan jungle fighter head in your templar knights. I have always thought that this was an underused, but highly useful, boxed set. It is almost as useful as the marauder horsemen for unique and interesting head/arm kitbashing conversions.

Great stuff!   Best picks are the 'order of the hammer' and the old school greatswords.

Thanks for posting.

* DariusZero,, I will check Picassa Link,, sound very interesting,, thanks for that

*ChumpChange,, you have a very good eye to identify the bitz used ,,

* Silverwolf,,, The Phanter knights are from the boxed set knight,, I think that still come with all that bitz fro made Wolf, panters or reiskguard knights,,, the Standard bearer is from Gamezone miniatures
