Elder sweetwater's regiment of Halfling pikes
« on: February 06, 2010, 07:30:11 PM »
Elder Sweetwater being very concious of his duty to the Emperor, and desirous of exclusive trade licenses for his wines, fielded a regiment of pikes from the young men in his area of the Moot. They are small but mighty. I count them as regular pikemen until GW comes to it's senses and reinstalls them in the order of battle.  I had fun doing these and I hope you like them.  steveb

Those look great!

2010 seems to be "Year of the Halfling" around here.

You make me happy.
I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

Indeed.
They are pretty sweet though.
Certainly better than useless dwarfs- just ask bilbo.

Nice painting.
But seriously, why do you like halflings  :?, it makes me feel weird that some people takes them as part of the empire or wants them in the army book , why are they so cool anyway? :icon_confused: :eusa_wall:

"Elder Sweetwater" sounds more like a southern Baptist preacher than a halfling.

because they are perky?  maybe it was the plus on ballistics and the ability to move through woods with no hindrance.  The hot pot was nice piece also. And there used to be a larger selection of weapons.  The halflings allow you to be a little bit silly and if that all is not enough, they are something different, and they are perky!  steveb

I gotta say, I'm really liking them. I wish I had a bunch of them, but alas I don't. They gave the 40K Ratlings some love with the last IG release. Perhaps they'll give us Empire folks some love in the next army book. Probably not a hole army, but at least a unit would be cool.

Another fantastic unit, well done!  I aspire to a halfling pike regiment, someday...
