Axemen of the Stirland forest preserve.
« on: February 02, 2010, 01:15:46 AM »
One of the nobles of Stirland put together a regiment of his tenants/foresters after he caught them engaged in enriching themselves at his expense.  now they are often found at the forefront of the action helping the engineers build fortifications and such.
Most of these are odds and ends metal figures that I had laying about and thought that I would make a unit of axemen.  They were fun to do. I hope you enjoy them.

Ah... The Stirland foresters!
I have played with the idea of making that unit myself, but have yet to figure out how to get enough men with huge axes. Would be a nice alternative greatsword unit!  :icon_mrgreen:
Oh, and remember GW made it personal, not you!

Get a box of marauders and put some empire hairy heads on them. There are plenty of axe heads, put them on the end of those flails...nice unit of great weapons. or foresters wtihout shirts. whatever.

You should repost them with the models ranked up, Im just interested to know what they would look like. Also why a new thread for each model you do?

I do so many models that if I put them all on one thread it would take a week for your computer to load it all.  steveb
