Raging Heroes: New minis for evil armies
« on: December 27, 2009, 12:19:45 AM »
Hello !
With warhammerlord_soth's permission (thanks!), we'd like to briefly introduce our brand new French miniature company called Raging Heroes. We've just released our first set of miniatures, in both 28 mm and 54 mm.

We created these minis because, as years went by, we became increasingly convinced that it was possible to break the uniformity of units in mass combat games. This command group is our first effort in that direction. We are working on other ideas in the same vein, which you should see in the coming months. We also decided to do them in 28 and in 54 mm because often, we would have really liked to have a larger size version of our favourite minis.

Our first Command Group has been designed to fit easily into any Dark Elf, Vampire, Chaotic or Demonic army.
Here it is: Asharah, the Heroine, with Standard Bearers Eleriel and Alaniel and Musician Moloss and Minion.

This image shows our 3D sculpts. Actual casts of Moloss and Minion in 28 mm (metal) and 54 mm (resin) can be seen here.

If you have any questions or comments, we'll be happy to answer.

Very beautiful work!  :eusa_clap:  I may have to buy them even though I don't have any "evil" armies.  I can't wait to see what else you guys come up with.

Good lord! These miniatures are some of the best I've seen!
It is good that you provide with so many different photos of your models - Shows you're not hiding any funky angles that are less appealing.

While I'm currently only working on my Empire army, I will be sure to refer these outstanding miniatures to the people I know!

Keep this up and people are gonna lap these things up. I already want the sorceress... but I now already have 4 foot sorceresses and I don't know if I can justify five  :-P.

Great minis, now get back to sculpting!

Thanks for the great welcome!
The last 6 months have been quite a challenge and it's been a huge relief to see this project come to fruition!

Keep this up and people are gonna lap these things up. I already want the sorceress... but I now already have 4 foot sorceresses and I don't know if I can justify five  :-P.
Just so you know, since Asharah is litterally flying off the shelves, we thought that people would like to be able to field her on a proper mount and so , and you guys are the first to know about this, be prepared for Asharah on something that will truly stand out on the battelfield! Concept should be available in 14 days, perhaps sooner...

This is the reason we chose 3D sculpting: because even if, in the end, it's much more expensive than traditional sculpting, it allows us to approach the work differently and tweak things forever. More details here.

Great models!
My 5 requests for upcoming releases:
1: Empire females
2: Empire females
3: Empire females
4: Empire females
5: Empire females
It's important for us to state that we don't make our minis for any specific game. However, we do favour females. And in any case, we definitely want to hear about what minis people are looking for, so we'll be adding a suggestion box on the frontpage of the site in the next couple of days.

Thanks again!

awesome dude. I can definitely find a use for that unit champion / heroine.
The greatest form of control which can go on forever until it is exposed is a tyranny you can't see, touch and taste (unlike totalitarian Govts). When you sit in a prison cell but can't see the bars, because people don't rebel against not being free when they think they're are.

Your warm welcome has spurred us into action even over the Holidays.
No rest for the wicked ;-) ...

And so, here goes :
Asharah has been so successful that we decided to release two mounted versions of her:
- one on a heavy horse
- one on an insane dark Pegasus.

There's also a Vampire/Dark Elf/Demon War Master coming up, both in 28 and 54 mm.
The 54 mm version will also be usable as a God or large demon for 28 mm armies.
Here's a sneak peak:

New images coming up in the next few days!

We definitely have something very special in the pipeline that could fit this category. However, that particular project is fairly large, and we're still putting together our production schedule for the year, so I can't quite say for which quarter of 2010 this is going to happen...

These guys are definitely of interest to us but if you're talking about medieval feudal looking knights, we haven't yet made any special plans for that. However, our lead designer is just bursting with ideas these days, so you never can tell...

On the other hand, we do plan to release a line of minis that will be based on a heroic fantasy universe we've been developing for many years now. This won't happen until at least the middle of the year, but when it does, there will be a good amount of amazing looking fantasy knights!
