The tree and the stone: the Talabecland (lot of pics)
« on: May 25, 2008, 10:01:14 AM »
Here's my tribute to Ottilia, the army of Talabecland.
First of all I apologize for my english cause I'm a french student
The painting level is low, I try to get a "table top" army. I wanted an "historical" imperial army, with a lot of pikemen, handgunners and haleberdiers, but I added halflings, flagellants and other stanks

General survey:

The infantry:

A war altar (not yet finished):

And the bear with the drum, from artworks of the last rulebook:

The month-python like flagellants:

And the Wheel ("End is neeeer! Repent your soul! The beast is comiiiing!"):

The beginning of my Silent Guard of Morr:

An old paint job, the Taal Guard:

The knights on foot (swordmen):

The reiters:

The Winged Lancers from the oblast:

The bowmen:

The greatswords:

The free Compagny of the condotierre Marcello Marcelleria and his friends Georg, witchunter, and Don Lope de Villalobos Y Sangrin, estalian:

The Steam Tanks (the halfling one on the right):

The Mootland's Legion (with some converted ratlings):

The back of the Mootland's stank:

The artillery of Talabheim:

Well, if you want pics of some unit, just ask.  :icon_wink:

Nice, really like that war altar... so much character with the drumming bear and goblin jester. Reminds me of Hieronymus Bosch.

That does look like a coolo army, lots of original ideas and character which is the main thing  8-)

Really like the War Altar and those knights of Morr. And the pistoliers, all very nice.

Ok, I have an Arabian army and a little cathayan force, using the army list of the Empire.

That is one coherent army. Why cant I ever seem to get my army that way, oh well

Please post your Arabian and cathayan models, I cant seem to get the other human realms out of my head and I love seeing people interpretation and concepts on them. :-D

I really like your conversions, especially on the knights, and the painting is well done also.  Just one thing that, for me at least, really brings your figures down is the bases.  Even a figure painted with basic techniques looks good on a nice finished base.

Otherwise, keep up the great work! :icon_biggrin:
