Unfortunately spacecowboy's entry was mistakenly left off the poll at first, to rectify this his entry has been added and the vote count reset to zero. Please vote again now that you have the choice of all entries.

-- Calvin

The conversion contest is over, so it's time to vote for your favourite unit filler. Please see the entry thread for more pictures. Vote away, and don't forget: this is a conversion contest, not a painting contest.

Please keep in mind the contest rules while voting:
  • can be from any infantry unit
  • size should be from 2x2 up to 3x3 normal 20 mm bases
  • can use any number of minis

Again, great job everyone!  :eusa_clap:  :eusa_clap:  :eusa_clap: I'll post comments and critiques after the voting has finished.

Just out of curiosity, why are we voting for two choices this time around?

Alright, we get to pick two this time!  That makes life a little easier.  It also (I assume) makes it easier to pick out the runners-up.

Isn't Jak's entry a 5 man front rank? I donno...

I'm pretty sure it was to be a unit filler, I think he just misunderstood what a unit filler was.

I'll post comments and critiques after the voting has finished.

Shall we wait, I noticed that we got allot more feedback last contest when people commented during the voting stages.

Just to clarify - the quote that went with my entry

Quote
Unit Filler – sorry but new to this – didn’t realise it should have been a mini diorama – have done some of the troops to go with the front rank. As with Front Rank painting not finished.

Sorry for any confusion.

There is one missing, I'm sorry everyone.

I can't at the moment as I am about to leave, but as soon as I get the time (hopefully in a few hours) I will add in the missing entry and reset the voting.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

It's not his front five. See the above posts for an explanation.

I was in great peril when I looked this thread up....soju and space cowboy´s entries are rocking...but hochland`s HERO is one of the greatest warriors I have ever seen....taking a piss during a fight...perhaps he should even have placed him with a sword instead of a bottle and he could take the piss even while he was fighting...ok so I decided to take space cowboy´s awesome work and hochland´s Hero and if there is ever a war machine contest I will vote for soju...hmmm a unit filler cannon? well I don´t want to stand in the front rank of that unit.

-EDIT-
Yes Otaku, of course you are right. I read what you said in the other thread after I posted this, sorry.

Maybe its a good idea to watch what we say about an individual entry before the voting is finished so other's votes arn't influenced. As for soju's entry, notice his unit is of hundgunners so there wouldn't be  any front rank that would need to worry about a cannon behind them. Just to clear that up....

Otaku got it ;) and Fandir, true Empire men stand infront of cannons even if they know it's going to fire. We're just that brave (or ... you know what I mean).

Hey cheers for all the votes folks, I tried to get it painted, but ... I'm too lazy!!! And I have to focus on my papers... so much stuff to write about (Tahiti, libertarian philosophers, Maori politics and analysing a medieval map of the world...).

I cannot say enough, that the entries are so hard to vote for lol. So many good entries... I won't say whom I've voted for until the end, but it's not mine :P (damn!)

To be honest, I voted for myself, but not just to get votes, just because I thought my one looked better than the other ones. Somehow the Space Cowboy entry doesn't do much with me, if you know what I mean. It looks nice, but it doesn't make me go like 'Wow'.
