Yeah, my own blog! A tournament is coming up and this is my way to push my limits and get done with the army.

First up is 10 spearmen

Very nice, I love the poses on those spearmen!
Do you have more stuff and an explanation why you chose this colour scheme?
And, if it is not too much effort, could you explain how you made those spearmen?

@Van Der Steegh: No problem, This is my second Empire army with these colours and i think it began with the art works on the 5 ed Orc and Goblin book, and the art work of Asavar Kul (or maybe Engra deathsword-some chaos dude). There are some dead empire soldiers on them and i just like their colours, red and white and blue, i dont think they are from any province or state.

The spears are made from plastic rod, lots of drilling and then the hands are GS. The stripes on their arms are also GS.

Just like your spearmen and archer detachment, I also love the rocket battery and the handgunners..

absolutley stunning. The colors a remarkably clean and crisp, and the conversions are excellent. I like theuse of 'ole "Marco Polo whats-his-face" as an engineer and the rocket battery's base is excellent. What did you use to sculpt the cobblestone?

Battle Standard bearer, mostly done. There are some unpainted details that the camera is not showing. The metall and gold area is not right just yet, im trying to mix metallic paintings with regular like Shining Gold with Yellow and so on.

Other than the arrows being on the wrong side of the bow in your archers, I love em!

Very crisp, clean, yet somehow realistic at the same time. Great color choices!

@Todosi: i think the arrows should be on the right side, its easier when you aim.

I used to practice archery and actually i think Todosi is right

I'm very impressed with the crispness of your painting, especially the white. That's got to be the hardest colour to paint. Your army will be a sight to behold once it's done

Now for a question: I've been having some trouble with the feathers on my state troops. The ones on yours look exactly the way I'd like mine to be. Could you explain what colours and techniques you've used?

My favourite is definitely the BSB.

How long has this all taken you? You seem to be churning out pictures pretty quickly.
